To help you get familiar with the exam, Prep has developed the Exam Mode feature, which closely simulates the real exam, allowing you to practice before the actual test.
The Writing Practice Exam Mode will be launched soon. Stay tuned to experience the Writing practice exam at Prep, just like in the real test!
To use the Exam Room Mode, please follow these steps:
Step 1: On the homepage, select Test Practice (1). Then, you can choose the Speaking skill directly from the filter bar (2). The system will suggest sets of questions that include the Speaking skill. Additionally, you can use the Search bar (3) to find questions by keywords.
Step 2: After selecting your desired set of tests, click on Test (1) to start practicing the test, or click on View More (2) to see the details of the tests in the set. Once you access the test set, click on Start (3) or Preview the test (4). In the Mode Selection section, choose Exam Mode (5), then click Start (6) to begin the practice test in Exam Mode.
Step 3: To start the test, check your device and allow Prep’s website to use our microphone (1) to ensure the best test experience. Read the sample sentence for the system to confirm that the device has been given permission. When the audio quality is good, click Start Now (2) to move to the Instructions screen, then click Start (3) to begin the exam.
Step 1: Carefully read the Instructions (1) before pressing Start (2)
During the test, you can:
Answer the questions. The system will display a notification, then automatically start recording and countdown your speaking time (1). When the answering time is over, the system will automatically stop the recording and mark the question as completed (you won't be able to answer it again).
Use the Notes (2) section to jot down important points.
Step 2: After completing all the questions, you will be directed to the Review submission screen. Here, you can listen again to (1) your answers for each question. Then, select Analyze (2) and wait for the results.
Step 1: On the Result screen, you can view the overall score and detailed scores for each criterion, along with the completion level by section for your work.
Step 2: Then, click View Details (1) to see detailed feedback for each criterion and the Action Plan (2) for improvement guidance. On the View Details screen, click See detailed results for each question (3) to proceed to the individual question review screens.
Step 3: On the View detailed results screen, you can:
Navigate to the previous - next question (1) or open the Question List (2) near the top-left corner of the screen.
Review your question and answer, along with detailed feedback on strengths and weaknesses for each question.
View the Upgraded Submission (3) (based on your answers) and the Sample (4) with Suggested Vocabulary from the teacher
Note:
The Exam Mode is designed by Prep to closely simulate the actual exam. Keep the following in mind to ensure a smooth exam experience:
The system will automatically hide suggestions and sample answers during the exam
The countdown timer will be the same as the actual exam.
The exam will be automatically submitted once the time runs out
The questions will be automatically read aloud, and the question prompt will be hidden
Prep believes that you will soon achieve your goal by consistently practicing in Exam Mode. Keep it up!
